Module 1: Fundamental Bowen procedures:
Elbow and Wrist Procedure
The first module of Level 3 covers the Elbow and Wrist procedure. It includes preparation and prerequisites for the procedure, an explanation of how to practically perform each of the moves of the procedure as well as health problems that may be assisted.
At the end of this module the student should be able to:
- explain when the Elbow and Wrist Procedure is performed
- understand preparation and prerequisites for the Elbow and Wrist Procedure
- perform each of the moves of the Elbow and Wrist Procedure
Module 2: Fundamental Bowen procedures:
Breast Tenderness Procedure
The second module of Level 3 covers the Breast Tenderness procedure. It includes preparation and prerequisites for the procedure, an explanation of how to practically perform each of the moves of the procedure as well as health problems that may be assisted.
At the end of this module the student should be able to:
- explain when the Breast Tenderness Procedure is performed
- understand preparation and prerequisites for the Breast Tenderness Procedure
- perform each of the moves of the Breast Tenderness Procedure
Module 3: Fundamental Bowen procedures:
Ankle Procedure
The third module of Level 3 covers the Ankle procedure. It includes preparation and prerequisites for the procedure, an explanation of how to practically perform each of the moves of the procedure as well as health problems that may be assisted.
At the end of this module the student should be able to:
Module 4: Combining Bowen Therapy procedures
Module4 of Level 3 covers information about combining Bowen Therapy procedures. It includes guidelines for combining procedures and examples, as well as recommended procedures for over 50 health conditions.
At the end of this module the student should be able to:
- understand how to combine Bowen therapy procedures
- perform Bowen Therapy procedures for a variety of health conditions
Module 5: Relaxation and Safety during Bowen Therapy
Module5 of Level 3 covers relaxation and safety during Bowen Therapy. It includes guidelines on how to ensure that your client is in a relaxed state as well as how to ensure their maximum safety.
At the end of this module the student should be able to:
- be familiar with relaxation methods for Bowen Therapy
- have an understanding of safety guidelines for Bowen Therapy
Module 6: Moral and Ethical issues
Module6 of Level 3 covers moral and ethical issues in Bowen Therapy. It also includes some ethical and moral case studies in relation to the practice of Bowen therapy.
At the end of this module the student should be able to:
- Appreciate some moral and ethical issues surrounding Bowen Therapy
- Evaluate moral and ethical cases
Module 7: Positive and Negative energy
and Bowen Therapy
Module7 of Level 3 covers positive and negative energy during Bowen Therapy. It includes an explanation of what positive and negative energy means as well as methods of how to ensure that you do not deplete your energy levels while performing Bowen therapy when clients bring in with them different levels of energy.
At the end of this module the student should be able to:
- explain what is meant by positive and negative energy
- describe ways to reduce negative energy in the workplace
- understand ways to transform negative energy into positive
- appreciate how to avoid “burnout”
Module 8: Special thoughts and conditions
Module8 of Level 3 covers some special thoughts and conditions concerning Bowen Therapy.
At the end of this module the student should be able to:
- understand basic principles of the healing process
- explain special conditions or applications where Bowen Therapy can be used
Module 9: Case Studies
Module9 of Level 3 covers some case studies taken from the naturopathic practice of Frank Navratil BSc. N.D. It includes a sample of some cases of male and female patients with various health problems, where Bowen therapy has been successful.
At the end of this module the student should be able to:
- have an appreciation of the types of health problems that exist
- understand what health problems Bowen therapy can assist
- appreciate some results that can be achieved after Bowen Therapy
Module 10: Bowen Therapy Course Review
Module10 of Level 3 covers a summary review for Part 1, 2 and 3 of the Bowen Therapy course. It includes summaries of each of the modules on the 3 CD-ROMs.
At the end of this module the student should be able to:
- have a solid understanding of each module in the course
- understand the theory involved throughout all the modules in Parts 1, 2 and 3
- perform each of the 16 procedures outlined in this course
- know all the prerequisites for each of the procedures
Final Course Examination
Please note: This examination must be emailed or sent by post to be corrected. You must achieve a score of 80 percent or more to receive your Bowen Therapy Practitioner certificate. As well as this you are required to send us 5 case studies on 5 different clients. On successful completion, this certificate will be mailed to your address. You will be notified if you are unsuccessful after which you will need to resubmit your exam. There is no limit to the amount of times that you can apply for the certificate. There will be 100 multiple-choice questions.
